Lunsemfwa Hydro Power Company Limited (LHPC)
is the first Zambian independent power producer engaged in the generation and
supply of clean, reliable hydroelectric power. With its operational stations
strategically located in Central Province. LHPC plays a key role in supporting
the national grid and contributing to Zambia’s sustainable energy development.

Invitation to Register as Vendors
In line with this commitment, LHPC invites
reputable, experienced, and eligible suppliers, contractors, and service
providers to register as approved vendors for the supply of goods, works, and
services. This registration process is intended to create a transparent,
reliable, and competitive vendor database to support current operations and
future projects across all facilities.
Categories of Supply & Services
Suppliers are invited to register under (but
not limited to) the following categories:
- Electrical materials
and spares
- Mechanical tools and
spares
- General hardware
supply
- Motor vehicle spares
and servicing
- Computer spares and IT
accessories
- Fire equipment supply
and maintenance
- Building and general
maintenance works (electrical, plumbing, etc.)
- Oils and lubricants
- HSE materials and
personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Refreshments and
cleaning materials
- Water treatment
materials
- Stationery and
printing services
- Vehicle recovery and
towing services
- General insurance
services
- Security services
(manned guarding, electronic surveillance, access control, and related services)
- Travel agency services
- Garbage collection,
fumigation, sanitary, and cleaning services
- Hiring of earth-moving
equipment
- Supply, servicing, and
maintenance of air conditioners
- Engineering
consultancy services (architectural, surveying, electrical, mechanical)
- Graphic design and
brand management services
- Printing of corporate
materials (calendars, diaries, staff attire, corporate gifts, etc.)
- Statutory tests
(condition monitoring of machines, electromagnetic rope tests,
non-destructive tests, magnetic particle inspections)
- Maintenance and
servicing of plant lifting equipment (overhead cranes, winches, chain
blocks, slings, etc.)
- Industrial gases and
welding accessories
- Clearing and
forwarding services
- Labour contract
services
- Sports attire and
sporting equipment
- Agricultural inputs and chemicals
Eligibility Requirements
Interested suppliers must provide the
following:
1.
Company Profile (with physical and postal
address, email, and phone contacts).
2.
Certificate of Incorporation / Company Registration (PACRA for Zambian firms,
or equivalent registration documents for international companies).
3.
Valid Tax Compliance Certificate (ZRA for Zambian firms, or
equivalent from the tax authority in the supplier’s country of registration).
4.
VAT and/or TPIN registration details (or equivalent tax
identification in the supplier’s jurisdiction).
5.
Relevant licenses/permits required for the category
of business (both Zambian and international regulatory approvals, where
applicable).
6.
Experience and capacity documents (e.g., references, past
contracts, or proof of similar supply/service delivery).
7.
For international suppliers: a local
partner/representative in Zambia is encouraged but not mandatory.
Submission Guidelines
· All applications must be
submitted online only through the LHPC Procurement Portal, Link provided below:
https://lunsemfwahydro.com.zm/procurearc/apply/
· Upload all required
documents in PDF format, clearly labelled (e.g., PACRA Certificate, Tax
Clearance, Company Profile).
· Ensure that information
provided is valid, current, and accurate. Misrepresentation may lead to
disqualification.
· Suppliers may apply for maximum
2 categories, provided they show capacity and submit the relevant supporting
documents.
· All submissions must be
completed by 7th November 2025 at 17:00. The portal will close automatically
after the deadline.
· Applicants will receive an
email confirmation once registration is successfully submitted.
· For clarifications or assistance, contact the LHPC Procurement Department before the closing date.
Important Note
· This registration exercise
does not constitute an offer of business.
· LHPC reserves the right to
reject incomplete applications.
· LHPC will conduct a preliminary evaluation of all submissions. Only successfully registered suppliers will be invited to participate in future procurement opportunities.
